Basic Questions

What is MyWishlist?
MyWishlist is a free platform for creating and sharing gift lists. Organize your wishes, share with friends and family via a dedicated link, and track reservations in real time.
How does MyWishlist work?
It's simple! You create an account, build your gift list by adding items with photos, descriptions, and links, and share its link with whoever you want. Visitors can view your list and reserve gifts by providing their contact information. You receive notifications about reservations.
Do I need to pay to use MyWishlist?
No! MyWishlist is 100% free. All features are free: creating gift lists, adding gifts, RSVP attendance confirmation, and tracking reservations, at no cost to you.
Do I need to create an account to use it?
Yes, to create and manage your lists you need to create a free account. But to view shared lists and make reservations, no account is necessary - anyone with the link can access it.
Is it safe to share my list link?
Yes, it's completely safe! Your personal information (email, password) is never displayed to visitors. Anyone who accesses your list only sees the gifts, their descriptions, and quantities. Contact details from guests who make reservations are only visible to you.
Can I sign in with my Google or Apple account?
Yes! In addition to traditional email and password registration, you can sign in using your Google or Apple account for greater convenience.
Is MyWishlist available in other languages?
Yes! MyWishlist is available in 3 languages: Portuguese, English, and Spanish. The language is automatically detected by your browser, but you can change it at any time.
Does MyWishlist have a mobile app?
Yes! We have free native apps for iOS and Android with all the features of the web version: create and manage lists, track reservations and RSVPs in real time, and receive push notifications when someone reserves a gift. Creating and Editing Lists

How do I create my first gift list?
After logging in, click "Create new list" in the admin dashboard. Choose a name for your list, add a description and, if you wish, a cover image. Then just save and start adding gifts! Each list automatically gets a link with your name and the list name for you to share.
Can I create more than one list?
Yes! You can create as many lists as you want. This is perfect for organizing different occasions: one list for your birthday, another for your wedding, another for your baby shower, and so on. Each list gets its own link, generated automatically.
How do I customize my list with images and descriptions?
When creating or editing a list, you can add a profile image and a cover image that represent the occasion. You can also write a custom description that supports formatting, allowing you to leave a special message or explain details about the event.
How do I edit or delete an existing list?
In your admin dashboard, you'll see all your lists. Click on the list you want to modify to access the editing options. To delete, just use the delete button - but be careful: this action cannot be undone and all gifts and reservations will be lost.
Can I edit gifts after creating the list?
Yes! You can edit, add, or remove gifts at any time. If a gift has already been reserved, you can still edit it, but we recommend not removing it to avoid confusion. All changes are reflected immediately on the shared link.
What customizations can I make to my list?
You can customize: main color, font/typography, profile and cover images, event date, and formatted description. Everything to make your list truly yours!
What are anonymous gifts?
It's an option in the list settings that hides the names of people who reserved or gifted. When enabled, notifications to the list owner about who gifted are also disabled. Ideal for events like Secret Santa!

Managing Gifts

How do I add gifts to my list?
Inside the list editing page, click "Add gift". Fill in the item name, add a photo (you can upload or paste an image link), write a description, paste the link to the store where the gift can be found, set the desired quantity, and save.
Does MyWishlist suggest gifts for my list?
Yes! We show you the most popular gifts from other lists of the same type to inspire you. If you're creating a baby shower list, for example, see which nursery items are most requested. For wedding lists, discover the most wished-for appliances. It's a quick way to build a complete list without having to search dozens of websites.
How do I find gift ideas for my list?
It's easy to find gift ideas on MyWishlist: 1. When creating a new list, you'll see popular gift suggestions for your chosen event type 2. For existing lists, use the "Add popular gifts" button on the list management page 3. Add items to your list with 1 click. We show the most added gifts from lists similar to yours, so you know they're items that really work!
Can I add store links for the gifts?
Yes! Each gift can have a link to the product page. This makes it much easier for those who are going to give the gift - just click the link and they'll be directed straight to the store where they can buy the item.
How do I reorder gifts in my list?
On the list management page, you can drag and drop gifts to reorganize them in the order you prefer. This allows you to highlight the most important items at the top or organize them by category.
Can I set quantities for each gift?
Yes! When adding a gift, you can specify the desired quantity. This is useful for items you want in multiple units (like wine glasses, towels, etc.). The system shows how many have already been reserved and how many are still available.
Can I remove gifts that have already been received?
Yes! You can remove gifts that have been marked as received from your list. This helps keep your list updated and organized after the event. In the admin dashboard, access the received gift and use the remove option. This feature is especially useful for cleaning up the list after the event is over.

Sharing and URLs

How do I share my list with other people?
Each list has a unique link with your name and the list name (for example: app.mywishlist.co/john/wedding). Just copy and share this link via WhatsApp, email, social media, or any way you prefer. Anyone with the link can view your list.
What does my list's link look like?
Each list gets a unique link with your name and the list name (for example: app.mywishlist.co/john/wedding), built when you create the list. You do not need to set up anything: just copy and share it. The link is easy to read, send, and open.
Are lists public or private?
By default, all lists are public, but only to those who have the link. They don't appear in search engines or in a public gallery. In other words, only people with whom you share the link will be able to see your list.

Gift Reservations

How do people reserve gifts from my list?
When accessing your list, visitors see all available gifts. To reserve, just click the "Reserve {name}" button on the desired item, fill in name and email (required) and phone (optional), and confirm. The system automatically updates the available quantity.
Will I know who reserved each gift?
Yes! In your admin dashboard, you can see which gifts have been reserved and the contact details of who made the reservation (if the person provided this information). This way you can thank them later or get in touch if necessary.
Can the person who reserved cancel the reservation?
No. Once a reservation is made, it is registered in the system and cannot be canceled by the visitor. This ensures greater control and avoids problems with duplicate gifts. If someone needs to cancel a reservation, they should contact you (the list owner) directly so you can make the adjustment manually.
Do my guests need to buy through the site?
No! Your guests reserve the gift on MyWishlist and buy it wherever they prefer. The link you add is just a suggestion. The system records the reservations to avoid duplicate gifts.
Will I be notified when someone reserves a gift?
Yes! You receive an email notification whenever someone reserves a gift from your list. Additionally, you can track all reservations in real-time on your admin dashboard, where you'll see the name and contact info of who made the reservation.
What is RSVP attendance confirmation?
RSVP attendance confirmation is a free feature that lets you know who will attend your event. When enabled, your guests can confirm their attendance when reserving a gift. You can view a complete summary of confirmations in your admin dashboard, making event planning easier.
How do I enable RSVP on my list?
In your list settings, you'll find the "Enable RSVP attendance confirmation" option. When activated, your guests will see the option to confirm attendance when making a reservation. You can track all confirmations in your admin dashboard, with details on how many people confirmed and how many guests are expected.
Can guests add accompanying people when confirming attendance?
Yes! When confirming attendance, your guests can specify how many adults and children will accompany them to the event. This information appears in the RSVP summary in your dashboard, helping you plan seating arrangements, food quantities, party favors, and other event details.
Where can I track all RSVPs?
In the side menu there is an "RSVPs" tab that centralizes all attendance confirmations across all your lists. You see a total summary of adults, children and babies, and the table shows each guest along with their companions. Use the list filter when you need to focus on a single event.
Where can I see and moderate guest messages?
In the side menu there is a "Guest messages" tab that shows every message left by guests (on the wall or while reserving a gift). You can approve, reject or delete each message. Only approved messages are publicly visible on your list wall.

Privacy and Security

Is my personal data secure?
Yes! We use encryption and follow security best practices. Your data is stored securely and never shared with third parties. We comply with LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law).
Who can see my list?
Only people who have your list's link can view it. Your lists are not indexed in search engines and don't appear publicly on the site. You have full control over who you share the links with.
How do I delete my account and my data?
You can delete your account at any time from the "My profile" page, using the "Delete account" button at the bottom of the page. To confirm, you will need to enter your email. When you delete, all your data, lists, gifts, and reservations will be permanently removed. This action is irreversible.
Can I control which notifications I receive?
Yes! In your account settings, you can enable or disable email notifications: both notifications for the list owner (when someone reserves a gift) and confirmations sent to guests.
